Highlights from the first weeks of ITP!

Ruoho1

The program started on Monday, May 17th with introduction of the program and project teams. The first two weeks have been filled with kick-off meetings, project management lectures and team formation. We had a chance to meet and get to know each other outside class room at the Get2Gether party kindly arranged by Bolder Helsinki. Thank you guys!

After having met their clients the teams are now scheduling meetings and collecting data for their research. At the first PM meeting the project team managers had a chance to share experiences and answer questions arisen during the first project weeks. It was great to see how the open discussion and the diversity of the participants provided alternative ideas and approaches to the challenges of the summer. As we are all here to learn about project work and project management, it’s crucial to learn that there are several different ways to look at things as well as to observe one’s own behavior and understand it in different circumstances. Someone might even describe ITP as a three and a half month course on getting to know yourself.

Despite the first course and intense project work the Second Annual ITP Minigolf Championship was arranged yesterday in Taivallahti. The teams pursued the fame and glory of the winning team! At the end of the day we had two teams with exactly the same average score of 62,5 hits. In other words, the winners of the Second Annual ITP Minigolf Championship were teams Blue and Green. Congratulations!

Yours truly,

ITP Staff
